First off, thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday a few weeks ago! It's very much appreciated and I'm touched I got so many. You're all so nice!
Secondly, I'm opening commissions for the next two weeks or so before my classes start. My finances are tight as always and I wasn't able to get a job this summer, so I can use some help in exchange for art.
As always, I'm tweaking my policies so take a look at the prices and caveats if you're interested. Thanks! August 4, 2014 - August 22, 2014Prices (US dollars)

Color full body sketch -- $30
+1 character -- $20 (limit 1)
Basic background color (shading, adding slight dimension) -- $5 and up, depending
Revisions -- 1 (minor) is free; each additional is $10 and up, depending on complexityThings I Will Draw:
Human or humanoid characters
One small, uncomplicated prop, if wantedThings I Will Not Draw:
Animals (can't guarantee quality)
Backgrounds (ditto, also too time-consuming)
Machinery/cars/etc. (just bad at it)
Anything I feel is disrespectful or degrading or just makes me uncomfortableOther Things:
Characters physically interacting, in unusual or difficult poses, or action shots may be extra, depending on how challenging they seem. The harder something is for me to complete, the more time and supplies it takes. I'm not unwilling to try if it seems feasible, but I need to be compensated for the extra time and effort.
Photoshop color offered above is basic (flat color with one-tone shadow). If you'd like something more elaborate I'm willing to negotiate but I'm not very adept at digital painting so I can't guarantee the results and it will likely cost significantly more because of all the time it'll take me to fuss with it. I still won't do backgrounds beyond basic color.
If you want something I haven't covered here, ask me and I'll see if it seems like something I can do.Things I Need From You
for the character/s you want. This includes basic design, body/face type, outfits, hairstyles, poses, small props, everything. The more I have to cross-reference different images and descriptions for one character, the slower this goes. Expecting me to research my own references makes me very cranky. Send me the information I need to produce the picture you want, for both our sakes. I don't need an entire library, just enough information to understand what you want.
Clear ideas about what you want the character to be doing are very helpful. I can draw them just standing there but it's probably more satisfying for us both if you have something more specific in mind. Leaving it up to me doesn't make my life easier. Payment in full, in advance.
Paypal only (select the "gift" option to avoid fees-- I need my payment in full
). All payments in US dollars.Generalities
One drawing per person for now, please. Starting out, I'm only taking 5 drawings at a time and it'd be nice for as many people to get a drawing as possible. Depending on how fast they go, I'll most likely have more spaces available soon. If less than 5 people express an interest, they can have another slot if they want.
Feel free to browse my gallery to get a sense of what I do, bearing in mind that the vast majority of these drawings are years old now. My style has probably changed somewhat, though I'm still pretty flexible on that with good references.
My deadline of the 22nd is absolute. Classes start the first week of September and I have no time for anything other than that once they start. I will do everything in my power to complete all commissions before then but I'll have a lot of things to do to prepare for school so that last week in August I won't have the same amount of time to devote to these. That's my buffer week, basically. In the event that I don't manage to finish a commission before September, I'll either offer a refund or complete it at a later date. Hopefully it won't come to that!
To contact me about this stuff, send me a private message in Deviant Art with a header with the word "commission" somewhere. Once we've determined everything, I'll give you my Paypal info and as soon as I receive payment I'll get to work.
Thanks so much, everyone!
