Okay, months and months ago I agreed to an art trade with the gorgeously talented
 and now I've finally finished it! Yaaaaay! She asked for Lina and Zel in whatever universe/setting I wanted, she wanted something seductive and dangerous, like the secret love between enemies. I thought about it a lot and came up with a Greek setting, with Zel as a temple robber who'd been cursed by the gods into a golem form, and Lina as the demi-goddess Nemesis who's been sent to punish him for his crimes against the gods. Here is their climactic showdown after many other such encounters where he'd escaped. This time, there's no way out for either of them.I tried something a little different than my normal style this time. I wanted to push myself more and I did, so I'm proud of it. It's not perfect, but I still like it anyway. Full-view, please.  |

No, really. This is my ghost, speaking to you from beyond the grave. x_X I was killed by the sheer gorgeousness of the picture. What can I say? Good adjectives fail me! One of the best lighting jobs I've seen - dramatic, breathtaking, particularly on the lance near Zel and Lina's wing; your trademark style which I *missed* (I just love the way you draw bodies, I love the way you drew *these* bodies, sensual, powerful, dynamic), and, yeah, it's Slayers, brought to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF COOL, what with the Greek Myth theme and all (kudos to you on picking that, I drool, I really do.)
Now I will go and follow on the course of my immortal soul. But I die a happy man!
